[Proposal] MultiversX with Impact, Governance, and Time-Locked Innovation
Idea 1: Proof-of-Impact Staking (PoIS)
Instead of staking being only about APR, users can also link their stake to Impact Tracks (e.g. Green Energy, Education, Builder Support, Community Growth).
-
Stakers choose a track → a portion of rewards flows into it.
-
In return, users receive Impact Points as soulbound NFTs.
-
These NFTs evolve into visible “Impact Badges” inside xPortal.
-
Badges can unlock perks (APR boosts, governance multipliers, exclusive NFTs, access to events).
Why?
This makes staking meaningful and gamified: people don’t just earn, they contribute to something bigger. It also creates viral stories like: “My staking funded 1,000 trees” or “I supported 100 new developers.”
Idea 2: Community DAO Dividends
Governance should feel rewarding, not just a duty.
-
Users who actively participate in governance votes receive a share of protocol revenue.
-
Rewards are proportional to participation consistency (not to how one votes).
-
Builds a culture where every wallet matters and decisions feel valuable.
Why?
This transforms governance into a mini-dividend system, increasing voter turnout and reinforcing alignment between users and the network.
Idea 3: EGLD Time Capsules
A gamified way to encourage long-term holding.
-
Users can lock EGLD into Time Capsules (represented as NFTs).
-
Capsules can be set for 1, 3, or 5 years.
-
When opened, users get back their EGLD + bonus perks (special NFTs, APR boosts, governance benefits).
-
Time Capsules themselves are tradable NFTs → creating a new asset class on MultiversX.
Why?
Encourages strong hands and reduces short-term selling pressure. It also introduces gamification and pride of holding, since owning a 5-year EGLD Capsule is a badge of loyalty.
Conclusion
These three mechanisms — Impact Staking, Governance Dividends, and Time Capsules — are designed to make EGLD more attractive, more fun, and more meaningful for all users: small holders, long-term believers, and active community members.
They add new dimensions to tokenomics that go beyond APR and burns, creating emotional and cultural value alongside financial incentives.
We believe that with small allocations and clever design, these ideas can fit naturally into the existing framework and help MultiversX grow users, retain holders, and strengthen governance participation.
